Shell carving process

 

Since the launch of shell carving series in 12 years, through continuous improvement of technology, improve the level of design, has been the majority of dealers praise. In order to better cooperate with dealers to promote products, the first shell series process steps open.

Product size: 958*1889mm, the background color is fresh water shell double-sided pure white, the pattern Mosaic part is sea shell.

Preparation: according to the customer's requirements, prepare shell bottom plate, this process is the conventional packing process, omitted in this article.

 

Step one: drawing design, honghua series for customized products, designers according to customer size, style of one to one individual customization.

Step 2: line up, classify and typeset the final confirmed pattern according to shell, and line up the engraving machine

Step 3: patch and splice the particles on the bottom plate

The pattern part (seashell part) is irregular grain, the thickness of which is required to be thicker than the regular dense assembled grain. Each grain needs to be cut separately. The by-product is 1.8 square meters.


 

Step 4: engrave and engrave on the engrave machine after completion of patch. Carve the white fresh water shell bottom plate prepared before and the bottom plate after step 3.

Due to the particularity of shell, the speed of carving must be very slow. The speed of carving directly affects the smoothness of the edge, and then affects the coincidence of the finished product Mosaic. It takes 17.5 hours to finish carving the by-product on two plates.

 

Step 5: hollowing out. After carving the bottom plate of freshwater shell, hollowing out the design part (seashell Mosaic part).

  This process requires extreme care, as the distance between peacock feathers is only about 3m, which is very easy to damage. The process took a skilled worker nearly eight hours to complete. The white hollowed part of the shell has been wasted.

 

Step 6: cut and extract the carved seashells.

 This process can reflect the loss of shells. The loss rate of this by-product seashell is up to 40%.

 

Step 7: enchase the carved seashells into the hollowed part of the carved freshwater shells.

Because the seashell Mosaic is made of small particles, different from the marble water knife, it is easy to be damaged during the Mosaic, and it needs to be carved and inlaid manually after the damage. This process needs professional carver to complete, the thickness of the Mosaic particles control, the degree of coincidence will directly affect the finished product delicacy. The process took more than nine hours for two professional chefs.

 

Step 8: glue filling. After inlay, glue filling.

In order to ensure the stability of the product, the solidification time is more than 18 hours in winter and about 8 hours in summer.

 

Step 9: burnish, polish, glue is solidified after, undertake to conch board whole burnish, because enchased when uneven, the hardness of each kind of conch oneself is not same, so conch carve pattern board burnish difficulty should be bigger than conventional close join board. The precision of grinding determines the brightness of the product, hongmi grinding standard for 800-1500 mesh.
